Step-by-step removal
- First, find your listing: search your name at spokeo.com and open the profile that’s you. Copy the full URL from the address bar — it looks like
spokeo.com/Your-Name/…. - Go to the opt-out page: spokeo.com/optout.
- Paste your listing URL, enter an email address for the confirmation, and submit.
- Check that inbox — Spokeo sends a confirmation email, and the removal doesn’t process until you click the link in it.
- Processing typically takes a few days. If it stalls, their privacy contact is privacy@spokeo.com.
What to watch out for
- The confirmation email is the removal. Filing the form without clicking the email does nothing. Check spam.
- Multiple profiles: variants of your name or old addresses can each carry a separate listing — repeat the URL-plus-form loop for each one.
- Spokeo removes the listing you point at, not “you” — which is exactly why the URL matters.
It usually comes back
